Create a full-scale Resort map in 3D? Why not! What and awesome experience and massive undertaking! I was fortunate enough to lead the team to create a huge virtual scale model of the BahaMar Resort in 3D. The result was full 360 renders to be used on the website as new type of interactive map experience. Multiple 360 renders were needed to link up the virtual experience and create an interactive map like no other. On the backend we engineered a custom CMS platform to add and remove map content for the marketing team as needed.
The stats are quite impressive… 80+M polys, 1100+ texture maps, 2.8k man hours and 18 full 360 CG environments. In the end we achieved a unique map experience to engage potential guests like never before.
